Are we actually allowed to use the paved runway this year??? Last year it appeared to be discouraged with the flight stations located out on the runway, making pilots use the far side rough grass runway. Very difficult for aircraft with smaller wheels or those tail draggers wanting to nose over easily......

Although I did not work on the flight line it was my understanding that pilots preferred the grass .. pavement is very unforgiving of any landing errors ..
The jets all used the paved runway .. don't see why you cannot use it too ?
Ask whoever is in charge at the flight line ..

This should be discussed at the Pilot briefing ..

Had A great time today. I really appreciate all the brave souls who fought the fairly brisk winds.
The crowd seemed to appreciate it. Also enjoyed meeting Nick from RC TV and Rich Barlow from MAAC. And would personally like to thank the sponsors from Robart and Airtronics and the local Air Cadets and there colour party. I hope to see everybody again tomorrow. Mark.
