Here's another little sparker which is complete accept for the ignition timer. I have one on the way to make the engine complete.
1946 DeLong 30 manufactured by Joe DeLong Super Motors Inc.

Hey Bill, that's the engine almost always used by the Good brothers in their early radio aircraft, the Guff and Rudderbug!
That would be one of the later ones if it's 1946 wouldn't it? Looks in fair condition - why not build one of the two above for it? Nice.

Your right Cedric, if I build one of the above it will be the Guff. Always liked that model and it's been on the build list for quite a while.

I'm really glad your enjoying these old engines and nostalgia buddy.:)

Now if it was the 'Rudderbug' you were looking at Bill, it was featured in the British 'Aeromodeller' as a construction article and plan (about 60 years ago!), which may still be available. I don't have those magazines in my collection.
Do have a good article on the Goods and the Guff which I will seek out and send parts of to you one of these days.
There are several sites you undoubtedly know of, of plans for many old aircraft that likely include the Guff plan. Fun project!
Rudder only, I think not!!
