I came across this really nique looking engine on e-Bay, while I am not interested in being the new owner, I find it hugely fascinating and cool- Does anybody know anything about it or how it works?

Well a quick Google search and I found this- described as a "noteworthy failure" it was sold from June 1963 to the end of 1964, though no doubt many sat on hobby shop shelves for years!
Interesting design though!

Very rare and collectable, I don't think you will get it cheap. Bidding might take right off in the last hour.

Yuuuuppp... sold for $400.89 , but no bids in the last 4 & 1s hours of auction, guess that's the going rate..
Only about 1000 of these seem to have been made.
