What servos are in it? Are they compatable with a Futaba system?

I think they are compatable with Futaba. They are GWS servos, I will check tonight after work which model. It has a JR receiver in it, but that item is negotiable.

The servos are:
4 GWS SO3BB 2 ball bearing servos, 42 oz .14 sec
1 Hobbico standard (on throttle)
You can use them with futaba.

If you wish, you could make an offer less the radio equip, but the rest has to stay together.

What is the ABSOLUTE minimum your buddy will take for the airframe, engine, muffler and spinner only (no radio gear at all)?

Is he looking for any heli stuff in trade?

Also, is it the old wings or the new replacement wings? The new wings will have a red dot about 1/4" diameter stamped on the servo mounting rails...

The first batch of wings were twisted slightly, causing wash-in and very unhealthy flight charateristics!

I believe they had a recall on the website and also a lot of talk on RCuniverse. If I remember correctly, they were replacing the wings, but you probably had to send in the originals first. The new ones had the red dot to differenciate between the two.
