Hi;

I have to remove :( my 4 JR8411SA from my JR Robinson R22.
Replaced by DS8311.

DS8411 and DS8411SA are not recomended for heli anymore.

Replaced at no charge :P by JR/Horizon Hobby.

From Heliproz Web site:

8411/8411SA no longer recommended for helis. JR has issued a bulletin stating that these servos are not recommended for helis any more, mostly due to the higher loads imposed by 3D flying with modern 80-90 engines that have caused a very small number of failures. Horizon Service Center (877-504-0233) will upgrade your servos to the 8311 at no charge.

The problem seemed to be that the small gear pressed onto the motor would start slipping. I am sure this only happened when installed on a heli that had binding problems. If this servo starts to bind it has so much power that this gear starts to slip.

I think the new servo is exactly the same but with a diffferent mount mechanism for this gear.

Your right;

And they slightly reduced torque from 155 oz./in. to plus or minus 130.

I'm waiting for them... :roll:
