hay guys,
this has really taken off out my way, winters are pretty cold here, not much else to do.
we have been flying sticks, tigers, ifo's and most recently slow sticks(i wonder why they are called that, they are the fastest of the bunch).
our turn outs each tues night are getting bigger all the time.
what got me interested vwas the cheapness of the combat flying fun, rarely ever a dull moment unless your stuck up in a rafter or stuck up in a net, actually thats even funny too.
our latest addition to the gym is a heli, and as i type ray even designed a 3\4 oz total flying weight flying r\c plane, pretty neat, pretty fast, cute.i never see anything so small fly so stable, its has about a 12"span.
well the purpose of this topic is to see who is doing what im looking for fun aerobatic ideas .lets hear your two cents.
thanks sean

Hi Sean :D

I too have been somewhat bored this winter... No stick time! Going through withdrawl...

Check out these two videos... VERY COOL! They are rather large files so if your on dialup, it may take a while... but worth the wait!!

Im thinking of trying to organize a group of guys in the Toronto area that might be interested in getting together somewhere to fly indoors. Sorry your so far away Sean.. Anyone else interested in this idea?? I think it would be a blast!

Thanks

An indoor fly is held by EMFSO almost every month. Here is the AD from their webpage for anyone wanting to attend.

The Electric Model Flyers of Southern Ontario Presents:

An evening of Indoor R/C Electric Flying !

Friday January 17, 2003 from 7:00pm to 10:00pm at the Sheridan College Athletics and Recreation Facility gym 1430 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville, Ontario.

From the QEW in Oakville take Trafalgar Rd north. Go for 1 or 2 Kms and look for Sheridan College on your left (west). Take the second entrance (the one further north) and follow around to the back. You'll see the gym beside the parking lot (and beside the tennis dome).

Cost to fly is $10 / pilot. Regular frequency control will be in effect, and MAAC is required to fly (you'll be asked to sign in with your MAAC number).

For more information contact Robert Pike at pikefly@sympatico.ca, or (416) 724-7615, or ask in the Message Board

Come on out to the indoor flying. It's a blast and we always have a good time. We hope to see many of you there.
