Giant Scale Beech Staggerwing

I was at the WRAM model show today(sat.) Nick Ziroli had the proto type of his Staggerwing.Boy this plane is a LUMBER YARD! The fuse frontal area is huge as also is the cowel.The plane was way up on a peddestill so couldn't see it very close.Robarts has made the scale retracting landing gear which is featured on the plane.Sorry I didn't ask more questions.I did see a big gas engine in the cowel.G62? Sign under the plane said plans will be availible soon.I would amagine they may have it ready for Top Gun show in florida.stefanP

That's encouraging! I've been waiting for this plane come out....seems it's been almost 2 years and it really hasn't progressed any farther than you describe. Can't wait to get a set of plans! I'm sure the recent events are much more important in the ziroli family. my sincere condolences to them.

What recent events??? As of early last week his website says that the Staggerwing will not be released this year.

I understand that Janet Ziroli passed away earlier this week. That message on the website has been on there since the middle of last year so it's vague as to what year they are actually referring too.
