Guy's I just returned from FJ, we had an awesome time. heres a link to a whole lot of pics. I took over the four days I was at Florida jets. http://www.TJT.bz/news.php (just click on Florida jets for pics of all the action).
Frank Tiano and the FTE crew put on an excellent show and not to be missed if you ever feel the need to get away from the Feb snow. Mind you I drove straight into the blizzeds on the way down DOH! it was well worth the three day drive though...
Cheers-

HI all, had a great time at Florida Jets, even with the busy flight line I managed to get several flights in with my ducted fan Starfire and Bobcat. You can see my Starfire in the picture beside the T33,Orange with RCPETE on the side of the jet
I met a great bunch of guys from New York,We stayed at the Topas Motel in Flanger Beach by the ocean.
This year their was very few crashes,I guess pilots are getting much better .
On Friday their was a very low ceiling so most pilots did not fly till about 1 o"clock except for one fellow who was flying a 8 thousand Bobcat when he pulled up into the low ceiling and dissappeared, gone, vanished, what a feeling.
Next year it will be held at Lakeland near Tampa
Thanks Rcpete :D

Yup Pete it was a great time. That pilot that lost his BobCat....well I was spotting for him at the time. His name is Manny Sanchez and he is from Miami Florida. The B'Cat was beautifully finished in flouriscent colors and was built by master modeler Tom Woods. It was powered by a JetCat P120. We went out to the flight line and he took off made a circuit and just AS I WAS TELLING him to keep it low he pulled up to do a split S. Went straight into the low cloud and he froze. The plane....bits were found about 2 mile away. Surprisingly, the engine faired well other than a couple of dents and mushed in starter motor. Plan totalled, radio totalled and engine electronics gone. Expensive lesson.
Hey Dean....I thought you were going to be in Vernon today..............

Hi Wayne
See the problem is my wife is a Chartered Accountant and this happens to be the busy season. I had to earn many, many credits just to go to Florida for a week. If I took off again this weekend ( without the kids ) I know that my models and I would be in the garden shed
Gave me some time to work on the new PST J600 powered AV8R anyway. If the weather holds up I plan on test flying it on Monday. I'll post some pics afterwards!
Dean
I understand...... The pragram was totally different than was originally published, but it was a good day all the same.........
