Hi,
I have graduated from a 2 meter spectra to a 100" RES (astro 15 geared) and now a 150" Sailaire (hacker 50L-13). Bigger just keeps getting better.

The all molded scale Gliders are out of my price range. Are there bigger models than the Sailaire out there? I saw a Stretched wing Sailiare in S&E Modeler a coule years ago, but what wondering what else might be worth looking at.

thanks
T.T.

The RnR XBXC and Dreamcatcher (formerly Airtronics) Sagitta XC and Aquila XL come to mind. Did you want a kit or an ARF?

Kit or ARF - it doesn't matter. I know how to get to Dreamcatcher. Are the other models mentioned there as well or somewhere else?
thanks
Tom T.

P.S. What's your favourite Glider? Electric modification?

Hi Tom,

You can get RnR here: http://www.rnrproducts.com/

I owned their Genesis once, and it wasn't a bad model. I've never been super impressed with RnR, but they have the only commericially available XC ship that I know of.

My favorite sailplane, by far, is the Eraser F3B (I have two: http://www2.jonction.net/~icare/eraser.htm). I have hours and hours of flying time on my primary model.

I'm getting the electric fuse very soon as well, so I guess it fullfils both roles. I have a B50 7S Carbon that is destined for the XE whenever it arrives.

Multiplex Alpina is 20 or so years on the market or Multiplex Condor.
Am there are plenty more available on this Planet.
At this size you have to spend some bucks even if its conventionel build, (obechi over styro) otherwise it,s just to move around.

Cheers
Thomas

I was daydreaming about the Simprop Solution XL, its not much bigger at 4m span, looks gorgeous and is supposed convert well to electric. I think it goes for about 300 euro.
