Heck, if you want to come up to my club's fun fly (third weekend in August) you can fly your jet :)

Andrew, did you test fly your AV8R yet?
It is nice to have a jet meet where we do not have to travel hundreds and hundreds of miles to get there.
Our club is not suitable for jets so I cannot help there, but would be willing to assist/promote etc. if needed.

Peter (Eicas),
Nope, raining yesterday and today. Tomorrow I have prior commitments but Thursday is looking good....
If not Sunday also looks good...
Living where I do, I have no choice but travelling for a day down south to get together with other jet flyers.
Hey, Gaston B. in sudbury is supposed to have his new club field up and running next summer, maybe we can twist his arm and try and get a "northern Ontario" jet meet going? Its only 3.5 hours from me, and you city boys in the Toronto region would only have about a 4 hour drive...
I would also consider next year trying to get together with a few of you guys somewhere to fly our jets....

Sounds like a plan.....we should come-up visit you as well.
Tomorrow looks good for a test flight...calm winds all day and it will pick-up to 10km/hr late afternoon, Thursday is not looking too bad either.
Regards
Peter

Andrew,
When I mentioned the 4" of snow, I found on my back railing in the morning just over 6". And that was not my imagination :D Today it is wet but nearly all gone. Boy there was a lot of moisture in the snow. Going to go flying on the weekend because it is supposed to be warm.

Andrew
We are hoping to hold our first airshow the first weekend of July, being a long weekend might make it easier for pilots from out of town to attend. We don't have a paved runway yet but the grass is very smooth and 80ft x 800ft is sufficient for just about anything. We also have room for hundreds of cars and motorhomes, we just completed a beautiful 20ft X 48ft shelter with 12 large picnic tables. For now we will accomodate any type of aircraft and decide on specific events as needed. You are all invited to attend and we will do our best to make you feel at home.
I'll keep you posted.

Hanmer is located 10 minutes north of Sudbury on highway 69 North, it is now part the City of Greater Sudbury.
Our club is called Greater Sudbury Modelers, we will soon have a website with maps and pictures of our location.
Thanks for asking.

G'day guys, We are looking for some real feedback....
The Picton club is now seriously considering suitable dates for a 2-3 day jet and giant scale fly-in to be held at our club field during June-July 04.
We are currently considering possible dates for the event and would please like your feed back on possible prefurred dates. We will endevour to run the event so as not to clash with other major regional MAAC or AMA jet/scale event schedules. This event will be run in a similar manor as previous B of Q jet rallys eg. on site Amenities, RV facilites, Trade vendor tents, Food/beverage vendors, O/N hanger for model storage...
The location for the event will be Picton airport a WW2 sealed airstrip. located just outside of the town of Picton which is located in Prince Edward County, approximetly 30 mins drive south from the 401 and Belleville Ontario. More 'Picton Jets' event info to follow....
Cheers-

If the Bay of Quinte jet rally really does not happen, it's likely that Denis Bourgault may again try the Thetford Mines jet rally on the BofQ date (fathers day weekend.) Just speculating at this point, but you might want to keep it in mind.
Late June, early July would work for me. Starting in mid-July, I go to a lot of events in the States.

I would definitely like to attend too as long as it doesn't interfere with any of the tentitively scheduled IMAC events. Just being new to jets and looking forward to my first flights, I would like to get to as many jet events as possible. See how the big guys do this thing!

Bay of Quinte 04 is on the calender definetely for Fathers day weekend or the following weekend next year 2004. We are still awaiting event booking confirmation date from CFB Trenton as Mt View is an active military base, They have told us it will be early in the new year before they can confirm our rally date request....
Meanwhile The Prince Edward County R/C Flying Club (Picton) with this in mind, will therfor now consider suitable dates around mid July for our 'Jet and Giant Scale' day so as not to conflict with B of Q dates.
So guys how does mid July now sound? :D

That's good news to hear about BoQ!
Any chance you guys could make it early july? Green Mountain Jet Rally and Michigan Jets take the last two weekends of July (with Liberty Bell Jets the first weekend of August.)
