..........it was my first time and it was great. Big money shortage or I would have bought the building. Lot more classier and cheaper than the Toledo swap meet. When I left, Palmer and the boys were still running planes, etc back out to the car and coming back in. Lotta good deals. I got a 1020mah lithion pack and some odds and ends........no planes tho. Most of the kits that were there are still in my attic unbuilt.
Ran into that "SCALEGUY" again. Hehehe. Didn't see that Jim Mac either. Velda musta had his wallet on a leash. Just kidding.

Andrew: Well it was a good time, of course you missed deals. But we missed you and Walt the most. Everybody was asking me where's Andreww?! And I was gonna take you guys to The Outback for steak too! I came home with money, now that's not good. I also had two tables and that's my excuse for not spending. What I did get was good. The best was a almost NIB HB 120 inline, so cheap my eyes were misting as I payed for it. And this baby told me she wants me to run her up when we get home. Came home with a box full. I took 7 planes and a bunch of electric car stuff, sold all but 3 planes, and I bought 1 new kit, a 1/2A Anderson. I want something different, so I will put my Skyfury twin on it. I ordered my Hitec digitals, 4 x 5945's and 1 x 5735. I'm getting some prices on a JR 1000 and the 649 DX receiver. I talked to the North Bay boys, man they sold a Travel Air Mystery Ship (not sure if that's right) with a Chapman 76 cc twin, that my all time favourite looking plane. Gary got that one, where's your mask. There was loads of old kits, I only bought the one. Bryan sold lots. Fred was there, not much for us, you know what I mean. He had lots of planes and field equipment, nice stuff. I almost bought a real sweet Hornet, new and all setup for the Hurry. Oh Dennis gave me 2 cans of diesel for you. So that's about a wrap. Oh, we had the AGM, it was hard to hear. The next one is Hamilton, in November. I wonder how many tables are sold?? Did you get many casting kits completed? have fun.

I thought the show was quite a bit larger this year. Man, it was fast and furious for the first hour and a half. Saw some guys were just running from table to table trying to catch the ultimate deal.
I took three planes, a bunch of servos, etc to sell. Everything was gone by noon. I mean everything. I didn't buy anything at the meet. I kept dreaming about my AV8R so I held a tight fist on the cash! I will be ordering it this week, and I have a real good start on the WREN! For me, this swap turned out really great!
And it was great to see a lot of the guys again. Jim (Scaleguy)Daly almost punched me out! He tried to walk by my van not knowing who I was and I kept moving forward and backward to block him. Finally he screamed "STOP" and went stroming by me. I gave him a shout and he looked over and finally saw who it was. We both had a good laugh! Sorry Jim, I couldn't resist!
Great show! Love it! Sorry you missed it Andrew!

It was a great time Andrew, my first time there. Only thing missing were the cameras and the crew from the Antique Road Show! :) :)
Yeah Gary almost ended up with a dented hood! I was going back to my van trying to bring more stuff in and as I was walking between two cars this van pulled up and blocked my way! I tried to go aroung to the front, he pulled forward. I try and go to the back he backs up. This happens about 4 times and I am thinking to my self who is this #$%#%$##$ole and finnally I jump in front of the van and yell "STOP" figurin if he hits me then I can get some real dough to spend at the show. All this time I didn't look to see who was drivin. Stormed by the front of the van and I hear someone yell my name. Turn around and I din't rcognize the face right away but knew the voice! Gary I've never seen you without a baseball cap before! :) :) Any way I had my arm cocked back ready to punch someone out and quickly turned it into a handshake when I finally recognized Gary.
Had a table beside Maqsod (rcpilot) and we kept watching each others table as the other would go do a quick circuit of the floor looking for bargains.
To my wifes delight I managed to escape without buying anything! :yikes:
Oh well maybe next year.
