Hi gentlemen, I have been reading posts on here for a while, As I have been building my Turbine version Mirage 4000. I've kept kinda quiet, listening to all the great stories and idea's you all have. My mirage building has been quite slow, as i am going scale, got all the pieces now.
So In the meantime I picked up a great flying Roo from my buddy Pete D.
I installed my KJ66 form Merton Moore with a GB full auto start system.
With this setup, I did my first "Solo" turbine flight today. I flew a couple weeks back, but with a little help. There is no words that I can think of to say of the feeling of operating one of these machines. All I know is after I landed it, stopping right in front of me, thats When I yelled out a loud burst, then my knees started to tremble ( to time to think about trembling while in the air). I got to say Thanks to YoU Peter for all your help
Also look forward to meet all of you someday at RCJet meets.

Congratulations! I sure hope that some of us here in Ontario can get together, even if just for an informal day at someone's field next summer.

Is there going to be a Bay of Quinte rally in '04? My undrstanding was that the Quinte club was no longer going to run the event???

I think what you may see happen for a jet event down here, is an event held at the Picton airport put on by the Prince Edward Radio Control Flying Club. I think the talk is a combination Warbird and Jet meet like Bay of Quinte used to have some years ago.
We have a club meeting on Wednesday night so I'll see what's progressing with the idea.
It's a shame that Quinte is no longer an event so we'll just have to see what else we can come up with. Picton is an ideal place for the event because not only do we have a good flying site, there are lots of motels and hotels around too. Plus when the airport is booked for a weekend it is solely available for the event taking place and nothing else.
We'll keep you all posted as info arises.:D

I got the OK from the Leamington Airport owners to hold the event again next year. I hope to see more of the jet boys there. Not too often you have a 5000 foot paved runway and a heck of a club backing it up. :D
I will post the dates as soon as our Windsor club decides.
