More new stuff! How's a guy to keep up?
You're right Dave, soon we'll all be able to afford to put lipo's in everything! Modern technology on the move ................

Yes, but have you heard the rummored tri-lithium/selenium batteries?
6.1Volts/cell at 3.4KWhr/Kg. (reverse engineered from the Rosswell crash sight)

Wow, Joe! I can imagine they will be a huge improvement over the old "Di-Lithium" cells.

Beam me up, Scotty! No sign of intelligence here! 8)

Found this from Red:

Why did 'Newturn Energy' stop producing Li-S???

----

Because they don't work! Moltech, Sion, etc. Are a bunch of scam artists
looking for government contracts for miracle batteries.

SION POWER CORPORATION has been awarded a Small Business Innovation Research
(SBIR) grant to further their efforts in vacuum deposited lithium in their
rechargeable lithium sulfur technology.

SION POWER, a technology spin-off from Brookhaven National Laboratories, was
incorporated as Moltech Corporation in 1994.

Moltech didn't make it, filed Chapter 11 and sold off assets to the Chinese.
Still owe the local county 3 mill+ in back taxes plus a lot of creditors.
Then the survivors ducked out and became Sion Power.

One of Sion's battery geniuses is Dr. Vincent Puglisi, Director Advanced
Technology. I knew him well when I worked for Energizer (not by choice - GE
sold to Gates who sold to Energizer) before I retired . He worked for Hughes
Aircraft (Battery research) Yarney, Energizer and then Moltech . . . . all
of whom didn't fare very well in the new technology development area. If you
look at the Sion web page http://www.sionpower.com/ you will get the
impression that they staffed the operation from Energizer, a loser company
in rechargeables.
