Depends how old. The most realistic place is the Model Engine Collector's Association swap sheets but of course you have to be a member to get them. Then you can check past auctions on EBAY, and if they are older than mid 1960's and American, you can cheque Anderson's Blue Book.
But value is not just the engine, but depends on the completeness, condition and wear, etc.
If you want I can help you. I know quite a bit about older engines, as it is my hobby also.
