Tail blades?

Hi, I have a set of 80mm CF tail blades (MS). I use them on my Raptor 30. My question is what is the difference between 80 and 85mm. If longer tail blades are better, how big can I go? I have a set of 3D fins on the heli. The vertical fin is longer, closer to the ground than the stock fin.

On my 30 I run wide chord 85mm tail blades and on the 50 93mm tail blades. I just cut down the raptor 60 blades to 85mm and used them on our 30s....they work great.

Colin, is there a big difference in the performance of 80 and 85mm?

I never went lower then 85mm....if you got a set of R60 plastic TR blades and cut them down to 85 then you could tell us ;) I'd try the 85's and if you like them keep em..if not it's no great loss because they are just plastic. I know there is a big difference from 85mm to 93mm and compared to the 80-85 that's only a 3mm difference.
