when should a battery be replaced? Ive a 700 ma battery(older) first cycle this year it cam to 530----second cycle came to 560ma. Is there a # of ma. when it should be discarded----should i cycle it again? thanks for the help. Dave

If a 700mAH battery pack is cycling out at 560mAH this equils 20% below rated capacity and should be discarded. I believe that the cutoff point should be no less than 15% below specs or roughly 600mAH. I have a couple of battery packs that are 5 years old that are still at or above rated capacity.
Time to get a new one Dave!
Its not worth risking a plane for the price of a new battery pack my friend!

thanks Gary, it was that 15 % # i was looking for. that will help . should i be cycling thes twice to get the # up? Dave

I always go through 3 cycles. If I'm not happy by then, I use a new pack
