Nippy Black, what makes it go

Someone asked me what was inside the bell of my Nippy black Outrunner, well its two strips of magnetic plastic. See the pics below.

I believe that you will find that there are 14 magnetic poles - 7 on each strip. I'm fairly sure this is an LRK wound motor.

These are simular I think to CD rom and cooling fan motors. I have many now scavenged from old PC's. If you run a small magnet over the plastic strip you can feel the magnets set up N S N S.

Some day I'll find a use for them.
