could i use 3 cell lipo on this motor?

Yup, A three cell will work just fine, here's the catch you'll need to go to a chart somewhere and find out what the largest prop for that motor battery configuration should be. It didn't come with my Nippy Black 808/98, and I ended up investing in a whatmeter to see what the actual current draw was with any given battery/prop combination. At first I tried using automotive ammeters but they're not that accurate at the lower end of the scale, they're cheap though....

oops almost forgot, the data is listed in electricalc, though I don't own a version the website ist that motor as being one thats included in the database. This is another good option for matching you power system components for long life and good service
