Hey guys,
Don't forget about this year's Chatham IMAC contest to be held this coming weekend July 3, 4 at the Chatham aeronauts field.
We hope to have a good turnout- that is if the weather holds out this time!!
Here is a link to the club's website where you can find a map and accomodation instructions. Any questions, shoot me an email or give me a call at work (that's where I've been living lately!!)

Just got back from the first local IMAC contest of the season.

Had a great time! Little windy but beautifully sunny day on Saturday. Every class got three rounds in. Sunday looked ify with high winds and threatening clouds but thows who were in attendance elected to fly. Basic, Sportsman, Advanced and Unlimited got one more round in and everyone got there equipment away befor a squall moved in.

Saturday night was a real treat with Don's mother and father hosting a Strawberry Pie Social after dinner. man oh man that was some great pie.

Twenty two pilots altogether in the various classes with a strong contigent from Ohio and Michigan. The SOO was represented by Craig Kniight, who walked away with 3rd in Basic!

Chatham Aeronauts and Don McLellan to be congradulated on a fine run contest. Be sure to mark this one down for next year.

Thanx again 3D Donny

Many many thanks to Donny and the Chatham Club for hosting the CAN-AM again this year. Indeed the "stawbery pie social" is one of the highlites of the weekend.

A terrific time was had by all, if you couldn't make it you missed a great time.

It's great to see the IMAC gang getting their adrenaline flowing.

I will re-post this in the correct thread:

Sportsman synopsis:

Dan Ross flew a near-perfect sequence in the second round!
It was nice to watch, I'm pretty sure he will move to intermediate soon.

Ken Weirsma also flew extremely well, and was right on Dan's heels!

Peter Hildebrandt had an excellent day Saturday, he will be a force in the future.
I obviously need to get out and practice! I flew the sequence for the first time Saturday, and it showed!
Peter did a great job calling for me, but I missed having my usual flying partner (Brian Facey).

Hope I can improve for our home contest in 3 weeks!

Congrats Donny and all your support crew on hosting what I believe is one of the premier IMAC events of the season  I was busy attending my niece's wedding (those Italians know how to eat  ) otherwise I would have been there. So I sent my NOIC partner Craig instead. I hear he represented us well, although now he says he needs a bigger plane...Mimi are you reading this?
Anyway, we are getting ready for our own event and we hope that we have as much success! It won't be for lack of trying :yeah: So mark your calendars for July 31-Aug 1st for the Northern Ontario IMAC Challenge and keep practicing...it will be worth it :oha:

Are the official results available anywhere? They haven't shown up on the IMAC website yet, nor on the Chatham club's site. Just curious.
