I was an Amherst fun fly and there was a demonstration by a 46% JR plane and the guy operating it was good, it would be realy hard to do the stuff he did, in IMAC there is a move called the rolling circle, you loop and do three rolls, I think. This guy did about 25 rolls in his, holy moly it looked good, has anyone seen any good giant scale airplane demonstrations??

Yeah, I saw one, I was at a Chatham RC airshow. Can't remember the guys name... but wow was that cool. He had 40% Extra 330S and he was doing a whole bunch 3D manouvers. I didn't get to see a tail touch though  ... too windy.

Ya, no tail touch... he had to keep it a quarter of an inch above the runway 'cause it was too windy. :yikes: WOW!! What a pilot!!

btw... Jim, it was my son and I that Chris (planecrazy) introduced you to at Chatham, then you introduced us to Don McLellan. Pleasure meeting you both.... looking forward to seeing you again sometime.

That Amherst show was actually called the Great Atlantic Fun Fly. It's going to be an annual event by the looks of it. My flying club (www.gmaclub.ca) has hosted it for the first 2 years and it's been a great success on both ocassions.

The pilot you are talking about is John Glezellis. He's a Team JR pilot and he works for Horizon hobby. He's probably one of the best, if not the best, aerobatic pilots in the continental US. The aircraft he was flying was a 42% (I think) Cap 232 with a DA-150. Here's some pics of his aircraft...

PS...The yellow fun fly plane at the GAFF (Twist 3d) was mine. It's a far cry from John's Cap 232 but I also paid 1/50th the price for it aswell...!! :D

Ah, finally putting a name to the handle. Pleasure meeting the two of you. Are you going to Kitchener or Stoney Creek? If so, see you there again. 8)
