Hi all!
For all those interested in more information about RC combat... how events are planned and scored, etc. visit the MAAC RC combat pages.
You can reach the pages through the link on the Scale and Open committee pages on the MAAC site, or you can go direct to the combat pages with:

The "Contest Package" link gives an overview of the main issues in putting on an event, and descibes the roles of contest director, line marshal and judges. The rules are also located here in pdf format, as well as all other forms you might need for an event (such as scoresheets etc.)
The web site gives you alot of information, and might seem daunting at first... but in reality, putting on an rc combat event is not overly complicated or difficult, and can be as simple or as elaborate as you want to make it.
Wether it's a contest, or an informal club scramble, the idea is to just have some fun... and I'll tell you right now that RC combat is some of the most fun you can have in this hobby!!!
