hey all just new to the sight but have been into r/c for 7 yrs.
im just int the middle of a 120' wing martin mars and was woundering if anyone knows of anyone who might know of a plan for a dump system that would work for the flying boat????my friend here in comox has built one but has since left to tour for 1 year!!!any body have any thoughts??

Am i correct in presuming that you have talked to Mike Benoit ?? He is the only one that I know of that has a working pickup and dump system.

i have flown there a few times but approach is very tight,i might know you dad as i an out at franks alot to p/u stuff for the martin.frank owns the hobbie shop at the air field in merville

I gotta ask: where's you get the plans for the Mars?

If you promise me a set, I'll see what I can do about designing a dump/scoop system for you, how's that?

Now where's that napkin...

Did I mention I'm a humanities grad who can barely work a hammer?

well im not to shure that they are for sale as i know the gent who put the plans together,but you offer sounds good.i'll contact the guy who put them together and ask.i'll do my best

Are those Ivan's Martin mars plans????? cause his 10'er is now at the aviation museum here in Victoria (Sidney)... I think it was powered by four 400 elecs...... Just curious...

ivan the great (you bet)his are powedr bye 400 elect,there is a nother fellow who baught the plans from ivan down is seattle,who i have been in contact with.
i'm going to be beefing up the wings so i can put 4 strokes in to it,
all about the sound for me.i have almost done the whole fus,and now
starting on the wing(3 sections)

in in the prosses of building a web page strickley for the building of the martin and a lot of pics that i have recived from my two friends who are pilots ont the aircraft,it should be done soon

ahhh im going to parksville tomorow to go flying@ the pdq air field

It was great to meet you - if only briefly. (the seat was GREAT !! ) I should be back there in the summer, hopefully with a lot more flying time available.

I'll see if my son still has the magazine with the Mars article in it. He lives in Nanaimo, and has to come up to the valley at least once a month...so it should be pretty easy to connect.

didnt you get a little wet,or was that last year????
i was there with a tranner cessna,and my buddy was there with the 12' scale cub that went for a swim from about 100 feet in the air.
that really hurt to see.

By wet what do you mean???? What did I do.... :oops: And I remember your friends cub... Had a structual failer in the air, if i remember.... It was his Dads and they had it for 15 yyears or something like that....
If I get going I'll have a something new up there this year too.... Going to start on a 1/6 scale Bellanca Aircruiser.... But if not I'll bring the two same old same olds.....
No I didn't camp, we stayed with friends of my parents in Comox...

i thought one of your planes went under for a bit(wet)but i do remember your planes..hope you have the new one out this year!!!!!!! i ass goes well i will have the martin out and up!!!!!!!my buddys cub should be back,we were working on it the other night.
still trying to get my web page up to get some picks of my martin...sorry
