Hi John
I was hoping you could give me some information on a couple of motors I picked up .
Its hard to read the name on the side off this one but it looks like evra or evan motor . I made a deal on 2 of them although the other one is a differant make .
In the picture you will see he has converted this evra to glow . why???
Would that give you more power running fuel verses gas .

Not sure on the make. Running on glow will make more power. It's lighter too as you've no ignition. The trade off is glow fuel costs more.

Ken:
For what it's worth - the EVRA was sold by Hobby Lobby in the 80's. Here's an ad from RCM, January 1981.

Another ad from the following month - a little more detail…

Thanks I find that quite interesting as I love old thing that perform well .
I did note that the regular price was 139.95 which really is not that far off todays price. And wow run for an hour on 24 cents worth of gas HaHa Not these days . I got some more info on these motors and the reason they converted them to glow was --more power, sound and no electrical interference.
