remote controlled truck help!!!!!!!!

i just coneverted a radioshack truck into an r/c controlled ....i got the servo for the steering hooked up. using a 3 channel am radio....i have the motor hooked up to a swiitch and its own battery pack. now the trick? the motor runs backwards. how do i get it so it works off the remote reciever? so that way i can use the up/down as forward/ backward? the truck is a mercedes.....i have the esc in it as well ...can i hook up the esc and existing motor.? or do i have to use the other motor i have that came with the esc?

Switch the wires around on the motor.
