Hi Stephen ,,,

Yea I got that site,, and what about you,, you have a "HOG" too or what do you fly?,,

For my part electric is new for me,, all those composite to make a bird fly,, ouff,, easyer to fly and understand the reel bird,,, for now I am at reading alote of post about those issue,, but for now I have decide that I will fly this bird with 55f with those 300H (2.5) motors that I just order from L.A.,,, that should do what I want this plane to do,, fly scale with that extra weight,, I know that Brushless and Lipo are the good choice,, but $$ are to be look at, when involve in this hobby,, fo now I'll stick to that power plant and see how it goes for me with that,,,

If you have anyother advise about this bird caracteristic in that scale let me know,,,

Thanks body ! 8)

I have no hog. I was going to build one for electrics but after two years of the fans and motors sitting on the shelf with no work or immediate desire I sold the fans for a good profit and still have to sell the motors. This was going to be a rise off grass one. 80" wing span with 4.25" dia fans and 40 plus cells.

Thanks Jim for all of us for theses pic's,,, but do you have some with Inner external tank with,, ?

And Stephen,, witch model is that with 80 inch wing span,, ?,,, I know there is one who weight near 30 lbs and all scale done cost at they end around 30 thousand $$$ with turbine,,, to much for my budget,, but some are flying that type witch come from A-10 ADICK site,, or something name like that,,,

I'm asking are you still flying electric and what is your bird that you fly those days,,? and have you had the chance to fly the GWS A-10 or it is a other brand name you have ,,, ?

Yesturday I try to foam the fuel tank I want,, well I will say it is something to make,,, I draw on foam the approx size of the external fuel tank and start sanding it,, well the result are not so bad,, but it was just a test today,, I will draw again the tank this week and do a other test to get the right size at they end of sanding process.

Well keep those mail come in here,, I'm shure it will help many on that A-10 project we construct & fly.

There are quite a few A-10 models. Yes the big twin turbine model is impressive, but so are many others.

The plans I have are plans only. George Miller if I remember correctly. I figured they would be of limited use as they were designed for glow but even I was impressed by how much weight the designer managed to pack onto the airframe. How about 1/4" balsa fusealge sides with 1/4" ply doubler covering about 1/3 of the total area!

I bought the plans for airfoils, incidences, etc.

I fly all electric now but have hardly flown for the past couple of years due to long commute and family time. Just getting my eldest son (5 yrs) into RC on the buddy box. He loves it and in the first day was not bad on ailerons, but a little heavy on the elevator.

Another good foam kit is the Combat Models A-10. Lots of work as you have to cover the entire airframe with glass and epoxy (not as heavy as it sounds but lots more work than it sounds as well). The guy from Electric Jet Factory used to have one with two speed 600 size fans which went well. The company (Combat Models) seems to be gone but kits come up occasionally on eBay and a local hobby shop had one a while ago (still may have) but it was costly, I think around $500 just for the airframe. It was designed for a single pusher 45 glow. It spans about 55", similar length.

So that is great that you get in your son on that wonderfull hobby,,,

And I got in contact with a men from electric jet factory cause I saw on there site under new product a F-18 in foam with 74 inch long,,, when I saw these pic's I wrote to Robert from that compagny and wanted info on that bird,, he told me they stop doing it cause to coastly,,, sad I said sad,, I wanted a other answer in reply,, like ,, yes we have it ,, you wanted, ?

You seem to know alote on kit compagny,,, if I wanted a F-18 of that same scale like 74 inch long bird,, for EDF where can I turn to ???,, I was all crank-up about that F-18 kit and was making plan to get it for my X-mas present,,, but sad,, they dont do it anymore,,,

Do you have good news to tell me about where I could find a similer type of jet of that size,,, in EDF foam,,, ?

Thanks to you,, ! 8)
