Devastating Fire, Mount Pearl, Newfoundland

A devastating fire in Mount Pearl this morning, gutting British Confectionery in Donovan's Industrial Park. The building served as a printing plant for pull tab tickets and bingo cards, and was also the home of a satellite studio that broadcast satellite TV bingo throughout the province. Co-owner Gerry Connolly says the fire began in the building's electrical room, just as the day shift was starting work. -- VOCM News (http://www.vocm.com/news-info.asp?id=5532)
