Right-click, save-as. It's a bunch of .GIF files. Simply print them out, on a color printer if possible, and you have a micro-heli sized paper body.

I haven't tried them yet but I picked it up on a website which advertises the Picolo so I assume they'll work with the Picolo... at the very least.

Hopefully they also work on my eSky honeybee CP2.

If they don't work on the helis, at least they make for some nice static models to put on your desk ;)

I'd like a bit of feedback from the micro-heli guys.

I'm the main programmer for a game modifiction and we have some kickass models. Many of which are helicopters.

Pay no attention to the object in the upper part, that's a SAM launcher. The bottom part is what's interesting. that's a Lynx attack helicopter.

In the game you can fly it around and it has 8 TOW anti-tank missiles. When you play multi-player games, especially online, you can carry up to 6 people in there.

Anyway, the Lynx model is from one of our older releases. We're just starting to figure out how to transition this to the real world as a paper model. For the moment we're using this model as a 2 step process. The first step is a static display model and the second step will be to use it as a paper canopy for micro-helis.

It won't look exactly like the screenshot but since the model is sourced from the same place as the original game model, it'll look very similar.

My question is: Is there any interest in this? We won't charge anything for the paper canopies. It'll be a free download. We're simply going to use it as a promotional "gizmo" for our next game mod.

And we have many other models that may transition to static 3D paper models and even some as flying canopies.

Some possible candidates:

AH-64D Apache:

KA-25:

AH-1 Cobra (with multiple commo schemes):

And many more.

I printed opne of the paper models out at work and with a little work and glued to thin depron they could be made to be a cheap inexpensive body. I'm certainly going to be trying but first is a huge move into our new house. Work shop going from 50 square feet to 500square feet.

:D Yes ...
Would it fit a Raptor 50 V2?
The other paper cut outs above are kind of neat ...I started one of paper, but I think I'll try again in a light cardboard.
Then you'd have something.
.
Question, is this "DCX" out already as a game?
I naver seen it , but it looks alright!
.
I spent many ,many many hours flying around in Long Bow by Janes and have been looking for something new in the milatary helo idea.

DCX has been around for a very long time. It's a modification for the game Battlefield 1942 which was released in 2002.

DCX itself is finished. The team has moved over to another project using the latest game called Battlefield 2.

Here's a quick preview video of what DCX is: http://www.koreanconflicts.com/DCX_Saturday_Nights_Alright_DivX.avi (53MB Divx .avi)
