in a few differant current threads it has come to my attention that MAAC insurance is only valid if the model in question has met and adhered to the safety guide lines that are set out by MAAC
its my opinion that MAAC is very bias with there guide lines and im really beginning to wonder if there insurance does me any good at all in a sence that im the odd man out
i fly pure gliders and e-gliders and my concern is in the suggested field structure
gliders flown from a bungee or highstart dont conform to safety fences, flight lines ,wind direction for luanch and many other things
my concern is that although most glider pilots might feel there covered but becuase of these rules restrictions etc any lawyer could find otherwise
these thought also lead me to believe that maybe the free flight guys fall into this same area
if you luanch an old glow powered free flight plane into the wild blue how can you comply to the current MAAC rules such as ,,dont fly over the pitts,,stay out of the flight line or anything else that you have no control over??
are you insured,,is there some cluase im not aware of?
good info to know in todays world
