Blade e-flight mode 3? I just picked up a new Blade. Has anyone tried to switch a Blade to mode 3? How did you do it? Susan is not liking the heli in the living room!!! :D

Mode 3 is the Ail is on the left stick with Thr and the Rud is on the right stick with the Ele.

I did open-hart on the Tx and now its working the way I like it.

The Blade CP is same as the Honey Bee ESky. To change the mode of the transmitter. You can refer to this guide (http://www.hobbyjapan2000.com/eSkyModeChange.html)

Hi Colin

I am flying my Trex mode 3 as well :) Makes things a bit more difficult to hover than mode 2 :)

But its the only way to fly a plane :)

If you don't use any mixes you should be able to just change the servo plugs on the receiver.

If servo reversing is a problem you should be able to get an inline servo reverser.

That's the limit of my knowledge when it comes to Helis.

I like to watch but too chiken to try it. The older I get the slower my reflexes.

Cheers

I don't know poo about helis but was flying my cp at mother inlaws small dance studio, sorry steve I would have invited you but it was a "family thing". On my second flight I was touch n going off a barr stool. This thing is freakin awsome. I can hardly wait to try a roll and loop. Can a heli do a rolling circle?
I but on the aerobatic enhancement kit and like it with a 3cell 900 thunder pack. The 1320 seems a bit heavy but still hovers fine. what would be the best lipo for the blade cp?

Know worries buddy, been busier than heck lately. I am running an 830 on mine with a brushless Razor, very nice. Rolling circles, sure, with a lot of skill and the Bell Hiller upgrade :D

Sorry LOL
The Bell Hiller setup increases the amount of direct input from the swashplate at the expense of some stability input from the flybar. It does this by switching the ratio, which is equal to the ratio of the distances from the pivot point to the ball joints. With a high RPM and heavy blades, this produces a stable and maneuverable helicopter with almost no pitch up tendency in forward flight, a must for smooth and aggressive aerobatics. Makes her flop and roll much faster 8)
Available in January, hopefully

I need some edumication. At the moment I can hover around with the tail at me. I guess the next step is to have complete control left, right and nose in. What is the next in the learning curve? flip her upside down? LOL
