Gas engine info

Can some direct me to a good gas engine resources. Ex. size vs plane, props, cost etc etc. Thanks I love to idea of one but i am still new to the hobby and have not moved past the 40 size airplane yet. I do not want to do too much too fast and i don't want to have a huge plane yet either. Saw some converted chainsaw engines on ebay (what do u think?) i have a 31cc Ryobi weedeater type engine converted to gas and it will easily fly a 1/4 scale Cub on floats.

The IMAC guys use a lot of gas engines of different makes.
