Hi

HELP NO LONGER NEEDED

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED

I have 2 Quadra engines. One is supposed to be a 35 and the other is a 42.

I think I know which is the 35 and 42 but.....

Is there a way to properly ID these from the numbers on the crankcase?

Hi Ken,

One way you can tell the difference is to look at the 4 bolts on the back of the crankcase that hold the cup mount on. The 42 has a square pattern and the 35 has the top bolts closer together while the lower ones further apart......Gary

It appears that I have 2 Quadra 35s.

check in the exhaust port
the 35 is single ring
the 42 is dual ring
