Ok Guys, this big yellow thing is not very fun  I've got it set up with about 20 degrees in throws and 60%expo for a nice soft maiden. It is balanced at 7 1/8 as stated in the instructions and has a thunder tiger 91 on it. this thing flies like a porpoise, its all over the place, just as if it was extremely tail heavy.
I have had three flights on it with one broken fuselage and two damaged wing tips. Rebalanced it every flight and last night barely got it down with out damaging it again  Before I drive this thing into the ground  has anyone had a similar situation? is the balance point wrong in the instructions?

this thing flies like a porpoise, its all over the place, just as if it was extremely tail heavy.

Two things will cause this, tail-heavy, or excessive control throw.
The manual says low rate for elevator s/b 13deg up, and 15deg down.
Move the balance point forward 1/2-3/4" and reduce the throw.
Then fine tune.

I had landing problems to start as well. Then I dialed in 20 degress of flaperon for landing, works great. It also takes off real quick.

Your too tail heavy. Move the balance forward by about one inch (move battery up on the motor box) and you might have to go with a pull pull wiht the rudder servo under the canopy, but they fly great with the correct balance. The recommended balance point is way too far rearward...if you look on RCU you'll see that alot of people say that. You have a great flying plane..it's just not dialed in yet. I have one and it's great.

Got a Funtana 90.
The balance point that Hanger 9 recomends
in the manual is for extreme 3D, that is to say
it is tail heavy.
I have moved the CG up to between 6 and 6 1/2"
behing the leading edge. Actually it balanced
out at 6 1/4". We accomplished this by
installing a Saito 120 and moving the battery
foward in the box under the tank.
We have also reduced the recommend throws on elevator
this made for a nice managable flight performance and
lands easily.

I placed my battery at the engine box what a difference it made. You are definately tail heavy. The rates per the instructons especially the low rates are fine. :)

Well I moved the CG forward to 6 3/4 and rebalanced it, what a diffrence it flies as it should, Hanger 9 needs to update there instructions for various flying charatistics.
Thanks for everyones help :D , it was just about in the garbage
