No - definitely not the 3D Pro - it is quite difficult to fly. I am a reasonably capable heli pilot and I can't hover this one very well (to be fair, I haven't flown it much - I just needed more time). In my opinion this would not make a good beginner's heli. The Trex would be good for training (with training gear, flybar weights and 30% expo), but something even larger would be even better.
