L/F Tamiya Nitro TNX engine

I have a Tamiya Nitro TNX truck with a FS-18SR Engine in it can anyone tell me what other engines I can run in this truck (looking for a spare motor) any help would be great Thanks

hey , I put a Os. 18 crv in mine I believe it is the same engine as the fs 18 direct fit no mods needed model# OSMG2102 I'm using the pullstart but I'm sure the tamiya starter is a direct fit. Or you could pick up the chassis plate for the new 5.2r tnx on ebay and bolt in any big block you want up to .32 all your chassis parts bolt right in you just put the front dogbone in the back and back one in the front then reverse the positions of the 2 set screws that keep the diffs from moving up and down. plus you can still use the .18 just drill the mounting holes. Just don't expect the plastic drive axles to last too long with a big .28 or.32. the O.s. sells for around $175.00 to $200
