Hi,

I try the fall to fly my eflite j-3 on floats, will

I go about 12" off the water and then she filped onto her nose????????

Is the c.g not the same as with wheels???

Any Ideas???????????

Jason, did you check the CG before you flew?

You may need to balance the plane with the floats on. If you intend to remove the floats, put the weight on the floats.

The other thing, is you may need more up elevator with the floats. It will want to climb less with the floats, both because of the weight and the added drag on the bottom of the plane.

Also, make sure you are really moving before you leave the water. Once you are on step and moving fast, take off, and get some altitude. Then trim the plane out to fly like you want it to.

I can't think of anything else that could have changed. If you want me to explain better, just ask.

It is the same with wheel and floats!!!
