I just bought a Warhead Evo (new) and only put approx 6 tanks of fuel through it trying to break it in and it runs like crap till it's almost empty and then the last 1/4 tank this thing comes alive and goes like a raped ape. And burns major amounts of fuel. It spews fuel out the exhaust sitting idling. I'm a newbie to this hobby so i'm not sure what to look for. I did check carb settings and they seem normal, from what the book says.
It is cold here right now too so maybe I need to run the truck with a sock or something over the cylinder to keep the temp up?

Yes thats what it was doing. Being new to this sport I wasn't sure if I should lean it out while breaking the engine in or not, but I decided to lean it out and it works great now. Thanks a bunch

lean out your high speed needle, its the one attached to the fuel line on your carberator when its at stock lean it in 1/4 turn out. it thats not the case then it gotta be a bad carb yes you can lean it out during break in thats how you get it tuned right so its burning the right amount of fuel mixxed with the right amount of air oh and if it boggs out when your going just over half throttle that means its leaned too far
