Well, I just thought I would share with you what I think is the best Value in electric 3D... The Hyperion Extra 260 40e!!!! YA hooooo. I picked this one up from allerc.com. Awesome. The ARF comes in under 2lbs!!! Here is my Value priced set up:
Hyperion ARF $115, shipping $27 (no tax, no duty) Landed cost= $142
Turnighy 42-50c 700Kv BL motor $30 (Same specs as Power 32)
Turnigy Sentry 60 amp ESC $44 (works great!)
HXT 12kg 42g MG servos x4 $ 8ea (hi what? what for?)
Polyquest 4s 3300 25c $97 (made with the same cells as tp and fp packs... ;)
Hobby city shipping $20 ( 5 days to my door, no tax, no duty)
Total $365, = prop lets say $370. done.
Ya. that's value. I was a bit sceptical at first, especially with the motor, I mean, what can you get at the LHS for $30...one servo? maybe. definatey not a power 32....Anyway. I think this may well be the nicest looking and flying plane I have. Anyone who is looking at a 40 sized aerobatic plane would do well to consider this Extra, and with the Turnigy set up I will bet money that you will not be dissapointed. Here is a pic.
