i am thinking of tradeing my revo with os.21vg for a erevo
is there anything i have to know?
are they good trucks for bashing?

It will be slower than your Revo unless you upgrade to the brushless system for about 500.00 and then the batteries will cost you about 125.00 times 2 for a total of 250.00 which will give you about 15 min of run time. That is why I got rid of mine.
