What posesses a club to put their swap meet on the exact same day as another especially when they are not that far apart. In the past I have supported both of these swap meets as a vendor and would do so again if they fell on different dates.

I would also like to had a table to show off the new Airtronics Radio Systems, but again can not be in two places at the same time. Whitby has had this date for a lot of years.

I think this is the 3rd year in a row that it has happened. As an OMFC member I have to ask WHY didn't someone at OMFC check the Calender? For cripes sake we are all in the same Zone.

This used to be held in Feb. Why the change?

Yes, it used to be in february, however, since Erik who runs the swap meet cannot hold it in february as he is away south, hence March, he has been asking, but no one has come forward to take the responsibility to run it. I have told him for the last couple of years about the clash, but nothing seems to be done.
The meetings are usually first monday each month and for swap its changed to sunday, so, I am not sure if another sunday can be booked or not.

In the Calender of Events here, there are TWO Sundays available that do not interfere with other Swaps ; March 21st & 28th.

If you arer a vender it is a big problem and buyers also lose out.

This problem was discussed at the MAAC SE Zone Club Presidents & C.F. Instructors Meeting last weekend.

It was suggested that Swaps should be Sanctioned and conflicting swap dates would be brought to the attention of those sanctioning a swap.
