Michel

It was hand launch and I landed between me and my car during lunch time.

Nice shots Photo...especially in that poor light.

I was surprise to have such result. I was testing with 400 ISO and 1/800 sec aperture priority.

I tried to take a few other pics with lower light but I crashed and the camera did not save the picture or it simply didn’t work. I had no downlink to see if I was really taking pictures.

I did complete my power harness last night to install a board camera and a downlink. I will complete the mechanical part and the foam shield around the camera (who was destroyed in the crash and probably saved my camera) this weekend. Plane positioning will be much easier and I will be able to extend my flying range to fly higher and in straight line during burst shooting. I will probably post the result pictures this weekend when my setup will be completed.

My first AP ship is an Helicopter. There is no way I could use it safely in this area especially in less than 5 minutes preparation before take off. Here's the plane inspire on eyeinsky

Here's my plane:

Hey Fred

Looking good are you going to use a downlink? I was going to try my luck at FPV AP too. Keep us post on your progress.

That is the key to the success of this little camera ship. I think ever one should have a little foamy AP ship. My main reason for design the ship like EZ the clouds fly was cheap and the camera mount is simple. Payload is about 250g and that will give you over 30 minute airtime with 2200mah battery. The next mount I will build will be for the EZ kit.

FPV camera and downlink are ready for maiden flight. Mabe tomorow... if wind conditions are resonable.

It's a bit nose heavy. I will try it and see how it goes. I did take pictures of the plane just in case...

Why have two cameras on such a small airplane? I would try to reduce the camera count. Use AV out of the main camera to down link, every oz counts :)

What’s your TOW?

Keep us posted on the maiden flight.

Waht Jerry said...that thing looks heavy! (and Jerry is the king of the floater jet). A 6x4 prop should give you some better low end jam too. Good luck.

The problem is if I fly it FPV and use the A/V out from the Lumix camera, I would loose video output for 2 sec every time I would take a picture. I usually align the subject and bust. It's even longer before the video is back. I will probably try it this weekend since it too windy now.

I don't know the total weight. I only added the board camera and the downlink.

Yup,

Don't think aboutthe water while you are up there. Otherwise you end up with a disposeable camera-ship.

That`s cool, having the servo turn the camera on/off! Good idea.
