Re: I have a Privateer without sponsons - help!

I was able to download it, view it at 100%, navigate to the part I want in Adobe Reader and print the part shown on the screen. It looks like it's the same size as the original plans (that I mislaid). Doing this with my new Windows 10 computer. (which I am learning to grudgingly accept )

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction guys.

The super Privateer from rcgroups is in pdf...so use alt print screen to capture the part you want,or in windows 8 use the clipping tool.It has the parts even as a laser file. The one in outerzone,is the same drawing.

I found some drawings there, thanks for the suggestion. I hate looking around that site as it's so darned big, and I had to learn how to coach their search engine. Now to get them unzipped and chop out the bits I want to print off. I'm thinking I might just make the floats out of extruded foam with a plywood spine and fiberglass skin.
It may be a bit of fun waterproofing this thing as the covering on it looks almost like tissue, but a bit heavier. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and recover it while I'm at it.
Thanks for the prompt responses guys!

There is nothing weird about the sponson connection..straight glue on to the 11 th rib.Look in rc groups,as the file is too big to send The pdf from RCgoups is much clearer. The photo of the original shows a simple connection to the rib.
here is the link to rcgroups

I thought the Navigator from the old days was similar in regards to the sponsons?
if it was, you could just size it up on the photocopier

I have a Privateer without sponsons - help!

I picked up a 59" WS Privateer at the swap meet in Oshawa several years ago, and it even had the plans included. However, it did not have the sponsons on the wings. No biggie, I figured, as I have the plans.

Well, I decided it's time to get it ready to introduce it to water before the lake behind the house "weeds over" for the summer. You think I can find those plans? Nope, everywhere I've looked so far, I've come up empty handed.

If there is anybody out there that has a set of these plans, I would truly appreciate it if you could, in a weak moment, scan the portion that shows the sponsons and the supports for them, and either post the scan or PM me for my email address, I would be most grateful.

Thanks
