Just throwing this out there: Given the circumstances according to the closed petition, wouldn't it be easier to unseat the president of the "other" club? If there's 6 members of that club, your Dad, his buddy, and the rest other than the prez are members of SMAC then why not vote out the current prez in favor of one more understanding?

Not to say something shouldn't be done about the current ZD as well, but might be a way to deal with it more quickly?

Re: Petition for MAAC to get with the times and do something the membership requires

There are some that do not agree with the changes to the guidelines, and this was a matter that was hopefully expedited to assist some of the membership in a tough time now and in the future. We thank all of those involved in making these changes at this time.

Since the guidelines have been changed this post is no longer relevant, if you feel the need you can freely open a thread to debate the matter further. I request that the Moderators close this thread.

Thank you

If your ZD won't do anything to fix the issue, then go above his head. If you still can't get any help, hell just freakign fly, your not going to shoot anyone down with 2.4. As for MAAC not covering you guys with insurance, heck chances are if you had a problem they would wessel out of paying somehow. They always do. I am seriously begining to wonder why we accually use and have MAAC? Is there anyway we can get and use AMA up here?
...totally classless boyz. Seriously, let it go and enjoy what you are doing. Nobody has spent any effort talking bad about you behind your back. Seems to have worked out just fine in the end for all and nobody is running around trying to shut your Site down.

...and ya kind of don't know what your talking about. Most site owners such as sod farms and old municipal dump sites require proof that the club carries insurance that specifically names the owner. (your individual membership does not ) So, they can't simply throw caution to the wind and go fly. They need their zd to sign off on the field before they get same. As an example, if you guys decided to provide some liability coverage for your field owner, you would need the zd to do the same and I would bet there would be no similar problems with your ZD in spite of any personal history or the slippery stuff here.

Go fly. These poor dudes are facing a real issue that prevents them from doing just that.

In the meantime we need to make noise to try to have a field sanctioned because MAAC will not sanction a perfectly good club on a perfectly good facility.

In other words we have to beg and cry and whine for attention to the injustice of two grown men keeping a whole club from flying in hopes someone can and will help. We do this while we are in touch ( without any success) with the leadership of MAAC. We learn more, are in touch with more people and will continue to do such until we loose the ability to fly in less than two weeks or of course until we have been sanctioned.
...hehe, you guys are way ahead.

Bounce him out!
