Goblin 630 25th flight video

25th flight, more or less, of the Goblin 630.
AR7200BX in PRO mode, Align 600MX motor, Castle 80HV 12s ESC, Castle 12s BEC, Zippy 3300 35c lipos
Working well. I am very pleased with its performance. It has more to give than I have the ability to give back.

FH/SAB replacing boom

Good news

Heard back from Flying Hobbies again and SAB late yesterday. SAB has contacted FH and FH is sending out a new boom.

I noticed someone on Helifreak reporting the same problem now. Something wrong with the paint in one of thier batches it sounds like.

Although we have not seen this issue locally, I have mentioned it to Shawn at Rotorquest as an issue to keep an eye out for.

Goblin 630 Build - Paint turning brown

I heard back from FH today - they were trying to get a response from SAB. I also have heard from Canomod. I still have not heard from SAB.

Canomod suggested I contact SAB. FH has heard back from SAB. SAB has replied through FH as the helicopter paint turning brown does not effect flight performance that they are not willing to do anything about it.

Flying Hobby has, as always, stepped up to the plate and offered a discount on a future purchase. Pretty good that the vendor of the product provides support even when the manufacturer does not!

Dissappointing way to end this build thread (it has been a great experience otherwise), it is what it is I guess.

On the flip side I am looking forward to getting it out to the field again and flying it.

As you may know, Rotorquest is the sole dealer here in Canada, but I'm guessing you did not buy from there, as Shawn definately would have been in touch. Helidirect and Rotorquest have been exceptional at their SAB support here in North America. I can't speak for some of the offshore retailers, It's unfortunate they are not answering your emails. I bet they would if you were buying something....

I haven't seen the issue you're having on my kit or the others I have seen built here, so maybe the batch your dealer got was bad.

I guess it is SAB I am a little disappointed in here. Perhaps if you are in touch with them you might suggest they take down thier tech support/feedback section of thier website if they don't intend to answer inquiries.

Also, I have had extremely good tech/post purchase support from Flying Hobby - they have come through big time when I had challanges with The new Gaui X4 as well as Heliartist fuselage follow-ups. My guess is that they have not heard from SAB either yet in this case.

With respect to Rotorquest, good stock and inventory, fast delivery. I purchase alot there.
