I was thinking vinyl also but I think the nitro may eat it. Also it might be a bit heavy. I saw other builds that used packing paper and watered down white glue but again I think it gets heavy quick.
Thanks for the input I will keep it in mind.

I have some of the ACE R/C molded wings and the instructions say you can cover with a low temperature plastic covering and specifically mention Solarfilm.

Solarfilm adhesive activates at 210degreesF and the plastic shrinks at 250.

I've never used a covering on these ACE R/C molded wings but did reinfore them by sticking a band of filament (fiberglass strand?) tape at the wing thickness high point and circling both the top and bottom of the wing.

Let us know how it turns out.
Thanks for the input. I also hope it turns out. I do have some solarfilm. I was reading online that it it faily poor covering but I do belive that it does work with foam wings.

Unreal day today, light breeze with some gusts but got out and flew several planes. As you can see from the pic buddy had a rough go with his old pattern plane. dead stick into the trees.

aside from that was an awesome day, although i'm getting tired of having to go into the truck to warm the hands up lol!
