Re: Top Flite Corsair 60 Build I just traded a Goldeberg Cub and a made in Italy Super tigre GS-40 for a 75% to 80%finished TF Corsair 60. I was able to confirm with the LHS that the kit was the updated easier to fly version. I got with the recomended Robart retracts and robostruts including the gas value and large air storage cylinder. It was constructed with split flaps and has 7 futaba 3004 servos already installed (includes retract servo). I would love to have any suggestions on points of concern I just check on this build. The previous owner was 91 had given this plane to a friend to try and sell without luck since August. He was going to a swap meet and thought he could sell my kit and engine fairly quickly. the orginal owner's building skills I would say vary from fair to good but considering what I had in the kit and engine I can afford to make major changes. The retractable gear and servos are worth more than the items I traded. Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you |

Re: Top Flite Corsair 60 Build No proof of purchase, I am not sure if I had to give the serial number from the box or not but I do remember that I did not have to pay anything. I belive I phoned great planes as they are now the licence holder. Not sure on that thoough. |

Re: Top Flite Corsair 60 Build I have officialy started the build (finaly some free time). Had to do some cleaning up of my work area and got some building tools ready. Im amazed how slow its going with carpenter's glue lol. I'll also need to get a new canopy (as mine is slighly damaged). |

Re: Top Flite Corsair 60 Build Thanks Juice! I had the cowl off today so I took some pics to give you guys a better veiw. As I mentioned before, i didnt build this bird. So here's what she looks like inside. Turns out the original owner cut and welded the exhaust to make it fit inside the cowl, other than that the he added aditions to cover the spark plub cap and one to protect the carb as it is a side mount. |

Re: Top Flite Corsair 60 Build you roll the TP on and just let it soak up the excess resin, then remove it.The whole idea is just to leave enuff expoxy resin to soak the cloth. This helps to remove the excess resin so there is less sanding as well as less weight. |
