Seems like Gains and Luck are the only fix. Maybe 150 fire ball for this one too!

So I put all of the guts into a new frame. I went with the Lynx motor this time. Does anyone know how to stop the tail from uncontrollably wagging? Gear slop wouldn't cause this would it. There is a bit but not enough to cause this. It wags 4" left then 4" right non stop. Like it can't find center.

Good idea Max. LOL a rubber band! When I had the HP08 motor in it, it was fine. Then I was frying boards. So I went back to the Tall stock motor. It must flex when you land it upside down and eventually forms the plastic motor mount in the direction. TH always ready to trigger it! Sometimes not quite fast enough though. I ordered a bunch of new stuff for it to play with when the snow comes.

When I looked closer the pinion isn't contacting the main gear like it used to. The motor is actually leaning towards the main shaft. With the frame being all plastic how the heck is this possible? I think I need a new frame to fix this. Has anyone noticed this with theirs?
Ya. I have. I had the same problem with the gears not meshing fully anymore, especially while doing heavy 3D.

I modded mine to have an elastic band go from behind the motor to the front of the battery tray. Not too tight, but just enough to put some tension on the motor. Pulling the top of the motor forward results in the bottom of the motor meshing better with the main gear.
I flew like this all summer.

about a month ago I put on a a new frame and the meshing was perfect. Have not had to use the rubber band trick since.

PS- make sure you are fast on the throttle hold the minute you lose control- flying over thick grass (tall grass is even better) and hitting TH when you lose control lets your heli flop into the grass just like landing in a big pile of shaving cream- No damage- no stripped gears.
You only strip gears when you are in idle up or stunt 2 and crash but dont hit throttle hold fast enough.

the stock heli with all stock parts = BEST. Once you start up grading all these parts to micro this micro that, it goes down hill.. Seen it lots tried it. wasted money.

the 130x is a flying perfect heli out of the box, start changing parts it's a money pit PILE OF CRAP!

Changed the elevator servo and tail servo. All was good until I finally wore out the metal B gear. Waiting for a few new sets of As and Bs. This has definately been the best 3D trainer yet!
