Re: Huckin' In the Valley 2015

Guys... I hope you saw our write up and pics of Huckin' in the Valley 2015 in the most recent edition of Model Aviation Canada. The editor just happened to have space available when we submitted the piece. Right place, right time I guess.

Re: Huckin' In the Valley 2015

Hey Guys...

Thanks for attending the event...I hope you had a good time! I had a blast and it was great to meet some new faces whose names and great reputations preceed them.

I've just drafted an event review article for MAC that I'll be submitting after I have a chance to review the photos from Larry and Matt.

We're doing a debrief next week amongst the organizing committee and club exec but I think it's safe to say that we'll be planning for Huckin' in the Valley - 2016!

I hope you'll attend.

Best wishes from all of the gang at the ARCC.

Thanks Rob. They are scheduled to perform in Gatineau (& the CF 18 Demo Team) on June 30. I'm hoping for good weather because I'm planning to be there.

Re: Huckin' In the Valley 2015

Thanks Trev & Ken, but you guys are worthy. I get to enjoy 2 hobbies at the same time, get better at post processing & meet a lot of really nice people too. I get a lot more use from my camera gear because of these events than I would otherwise but I'd still buy it. I'm just another volunteer trying to provide the ammunition needed to get sponsors involved or to show them they got good value from their donation.
Re the Snowbirds I checked the schedule & it looks like they are performing in North Bay today. Might be using Uplands as their base of operations or maybe it was just a short stop off. Their next performance is on the 10th.
And Ken I thought your photos for this event were very good too. Did Flickr change their format? or did you arrange the album to play with the extra large images every few sets?

AND I THOUGHT SOME MIGHT NEED TO KNOW.

If my photos show a bit too bright (washed out) lower the brightness of your monitor or display. My monitor is set at about 20% of it's brightness control so that when I edit photos & then print them the print is at the same brightness. This is a critical adjustment when printing because monitor settings don't change printer results. Most people just use their monitor at full brightness but in fact they are way too bright for editing photos like that.
