Brendan, a little tip if you are interested, when I started to practice 8 point rolls, I put the plane in 'tail chase' view mode (maybe not the exact terms but you get the idea... the one where you are following the plane around) and just did 8 points over and over again. It helped me get the sequence of rudder and elevator inputs down path without worrying about keeping the plan in sight, turnarounds etc. My 2 cents, it was really helpful for me.

I guess it is back to the simulator more often to get the old hands to do what the eyes and brain tell them.

I think that might be wishing too much but as close to the real thing would be a big help since the only real practice for me over the next several months is with foamies indoors the odd Sunday with a low ceiling and lots of hovering obstacles.

I am going to give Intermediate a shot next season. I did practice it a lot last year but made ended up flying sportsman when the time came. One of my biggest issues was the 4 of 8 roll.

Your advice (if I could tap into it), on a 4 of 8, what corrections, if any, do you make on the first and third segments (45 degree, knife-edge) for lack of a better description?
