Re: Buying a TX Of course now all the good used ones will come flying out of the closets and come down in price. Guranteed. Never fails me. I already had one PM this morning. Good price also. I will keep that one on hold just for now. Might get stupid and get addicted to this hobby or something. Guess the first thing I need to make is a bracket for the neck strap. Shouldn't take much on the milling machine. Just need the TX in hand to see what I need. |

Re: Buying a TX Bought a new DX7 Air version today for $179.95 shipped. Last one in stock. I had enough of trying to buy a used one for new price so I settled for the air version , new with warranty. |

Re: Buying a TX Managed to pick up a good used DX7 to do me till they get the DX8 problems sorted out. It sits on the shelf. They still show the DX7 on the Spektrum website. |

Re: Buying a TX Yes, the DX7 is being phased out. It's one of the older radio's in Spektrum's lineup. The most obvious clue is the lack a DSMX version. Meanwhile both the DX5e and DX6i were released in DSMX versions a few weeks ago. My LHS has been unable to get any DX7's for weeks now and there's no word if/when they will be in stock. Horizon Hobby's website has no ETA, normally they have some sort of ETA listed for out of stock products. The DX7 is still a fine radio and seems to have served many pilots quite well. Spektrum/Horizon Hobby will still support them (repairs, etc) and they can also be upgraded to DSMX (except for the DX7SE) for $75. If you can find one at a good price, it's still a good investment. |

Re: Buying a TX I am all set to buy a DX7. SNhobbies has them listed for $200 plus free shipping but like everyone else none in stock. Is the DX7 being phased out . I don't think I will have more then 20 planes/helicopters. I was just looking for that extra ch for done the road use. If you fly both plane and heli which TX is better to get. The heli or air model . I had a done deal on a DSX7 with RX for $225 but it turned out to be the Japan version and $90 for each RX. Way to rich for me. As for the Jr stuff I don't know what there model numbers are that compare to the spektrum stuff. Almost had a DX7 last night, waiting for the guy to respond with his paypal addy and the next response I got from him was I decided not to ship and just sold it locally 5 minutes ago. At least he told me but still pissed me off that people do that. To me getting his paypal address and agreeing to send money is like a hand shake in person and a done deal. I guess a true done deal is when the item is in your hands. |
