Re: any good areas near Oshawa to run a FE? Tony, siberianhusky and I run on the river near Trent Univeristy. There is a quiet bay right at Lock 23. Husky has been running there for a number of years and I have only been at it just a little over a year. Nice spot, handy parking right there and public washrooms that services the visitors to the lock. I can see Chemong Lake from my back deck and almost see the marina where my full size boat is. We discovered that it is a good spot to run in the fall when boater traffic has died down. Sometimes I take the RC boats with me on the cruiser and run them from the swim platform. Not quite as convenient as setting up by the river but it allows mne to spend time with my beloved while playing at the hobby. |

Re: any good areas near Oshawa to run a FE? Not sure about in Peterborough, but there's a guy named John McLean (or MacLean) on here that is from out there and knows for sure. In the GTA, there's a pond by markville mall (between Kennedy and the mall off highway 7), Humber Bay Park, a pond near highway 7 and 27, there's also a pond by wild water kingdom, but you might have to be a club member of nlmbc to get in there. |
